Departure and Return

All hires commence at 2pm (weather permitting) on the first date of hire. Hire terminates at 9:30 am on the last day of hire. Late returns will incur a penalty against the bond.

Bookings

A deposit of $200 (standard houseboat) / $1,000 (luxury houseboat) to be paid to confirm your booking within 7 days of reservation request. The balance of hire must be paid 4 weeks prior to commencement of hire. Payment may be made by phone (02) 4472 6369 or 0431 745 114 by Visa and Mastercard or by Bank Transfer.
The Bond and Environmental Levy must be paid before commencement of hire on the day by cash, Visa or Mastercard. Bond is refundable within 10 working days of completion of hire, less fuel charge and environmental levy (+GST), damage to boat or equipment or extra cleaning or linen.

All hires in school holidays, long weekends and Easter – full payment must be received prior to 60 days.

Drivers

Drivers of the Houseboat must be at least 18 years (standard houseboat) / 25 years (luxury houseboat) of age and must hold a current Vehicle Driver’s Licence. Do not drink and drive the houseboat. Maritime Services Officers and Water Police patrol the river.

Repairs and Alterations

No repairs or alterations to equipment are to be carried out by the hirer or his/her party without express instructions of the owners unless such repairs or alterations are made in circumstances where immediate safety is at risk. Any unauthorised repairs or alterations will incur a penalty against the bond.

Cancellations

The deposit will be refunded, less $150 cancellation fee if 60 days notice is given. Thereafter, deposit and balance of hire is forfit unless boat is able to be rebooked for full hire rate. 

The Letting

The letting is made on the understanding that the Houseboat is placed at the disposal of the hirer on the date specified. In the event that the owners are unable to do so, due to mechanical failure or circumstances beyond their control, the deposit will be refunded in full. However, the hirer shall have no claim on any account against the owner.

General Conditions and Notes

No access to the houseboat roof at any time. No jumping from the top deck.

Do not enter the water whilst the houseboat is underway or the motor is operational.

The number of persons aboard the houseboat must not exceed the number of berths under NSW Maritime Services Board regulation (i.e. 8 to 10 people).

No pets, fireworks or firearms allowed on the houseboat.

No electrical appliances, other than those provided, may be used without prior arrangements.

The houseboat must remain between the Batemans Bay bridge and the upper Clyde River markers.

If you plan to go under the Nelligan Bridge in the Luxury Houseboat, please arrange with Management prior.

Motor vechicles can be left at the boat shed parking area (at owners risk) or removed to a secure parking area (fee applies).

Safety equipment must only be used in accordance with the purpose for which is is provided. Any misuse will incur a penalty against bond.

Travel Insurance is recommended.
